been a hectic 4 days at hillsong jam + conference '11, omg soso tiring, eyeliner smudging into eyebags heheh makes me look vamp LOL. all the worship and preaching, at city and blacktown pretty late. wake up in the morning at like 6 to catch freaking train, have increased intake of fatty foods but also decreased sitting in swivel chair infront of screen, i.e. queuing for ages everyday to catch the ferry, rides at luna park, tribal wars where we got s.w.a.g. ;o
i felt so disconnected from the world, except for the occasionally bumping into people at night
it was truly an amazing experience, idk if it was better than last year, but i loved all the new special guests, especially the anglican Nicky Gumbel. I felt like hillsong this year was trying to prove to itself and its followers that after 25 yrs, it was the anti-thesis to RICE, that we are true Christians and not fake Christians, that we are Christian in everything that we do. (Christine Caine really emphasized this!!)
It's all a blur now but i vivdly remember the night rally on the last night, it was 9:30 and the band was trying to finish up except that nobody was leaving, and people got out their mobiles and ipods and started waving it in the air hahahahaha. The bright backlights looked so pretty, like flashing stars all around the dark stadium because no one was stuffed to purchase a glowstick for 4.50 hahahhahahaa. The laser lights were off, and everybody was just swaying to "Jesus be the centre, it's all about you, yes it's all about You" :')
Despite the session being schedules to end at 9:30 we stayed till 10, just cheering like crazy kids at anything, really, because of the unanimous feeling in aiirrrr. I really wished I had a youth group at that moment, because walking to the train station at night alone was just a littlebit :s ..there was a yellow 'falun dafa is good' sign that really creeped me out in the park.
other highlights i feel like i should mention, 'Would you like some God with that' : jentezen franklin, or the time a stranger turned aorund and gave me her blessing
Such a big rush relocating from one event to another, from Darling Harbour, to Luna Park, to Convention Centre, to Entertainment centre. Tanya and me were so late we missed out on our favourite person Judah Smith. However, like Brian Houston says, we should keep moving forward. I am looking forward to a very big exo day at parra park (WOOOOOO CLOSER TO HOME) when jonas bros are confirmed and my first ever ENCOUNTER event.
It is unbelievable all the food drink etc bare necessities that were needed, i have zerrrrooo in my wallet right now. I have blown dollars and dollars away quite easily, I am literally not kidding when i say it adds up to hundreds. Beginning my aspiration to be a better Christian, I will firmly tell myself it is pointless consoling self with material things.
