So today was my parents anniversary. I should've known something was up when my mum was like, "don't you know what day it is today" and her birthday and mothersday were both lonnggg goonnneee. I thought I was daria and was being all deadpan and cool about it, like um so remind me, what does this have to do with me again?

Tonight's their twentieth anniversary. I adore marriage, but it's unbelievable how people can stay married that long. There's this simpsons episode set in a world with hovercrafts and Future Bart's girlfriend was like, "Marriage? But Bart, that's a THREE YEAR COMMITMENT" or something equally realistic and futuristic. (see what I did there? With the 'istics?)
Some freaky show on last night. Reminded me of this creepy novel where a brother and sister get locked inside a basement and end up having twins.
