i love this picture...i told a friend about the quote and she said she thought it was corny. but when i first looked at this picture, i interpreted it as 'ugly on the skin' as in when your skin stretches with age and your tattoo gets gross, but it is still meaningful to you.

i wanted my first tatto to be something serious, like 'selah', in a serious place like on the wrist or ribs. Now i just want a fun tattoo, like Mindy White's friend who got a tattoo on the inside of her lip with the word 'sushi' and arrows pointing down. It would be fun, and supposedly lip tattoos don't hurt as much as normal skin tattoos
