I had a pleasant day yesterday. Actually it was pretty screwy but, the arrival of my essay made my day. Who would've thought. Like Chile losing to Brazil? Nah ok I get it, nobody bothers to comprehend my sarcasm.
Even though I wrote an unbelievably crap essay, the marker must've been a kindred spirit who was passing on a good deed or something, because I actually got good for it. Really, I wasn't being modest before, so don't call on me for being hypocritical. Just read my essay. Or rather, don't. Absolutely hands down the worst essay I'd ever written, no quotes and total bull in the body paragraph, referencing to issues which may or may not be non-existent, I had no idea.
Yes, I know that's *slightly* unfair. That other people may have actually studied and tried, with the result of producing far superior essays, however got handed back with a mark inconsistent with the quality of their work. I'm sorry. Sincerely. But being in my shoes and not theirs, I find it positively providential.
"The lowest of lows is always proceeded by the highest of highs".Who else has been acquainted with that piece of graffiti? It's in the room opposite the English staffroom, and it's awesome. So true, and it's been written on the desk so well too, like half carved in. I'm obviously not the only one that appreciates it, there's a little mini comments thing around it, with people writing things like "damn optimists" and such. I love how it's simultaneously SPOT ON and AS IF BRO. ;life is fragile and absurd - my favourite Tolstoy quote, from war and peace, surfacing again.
Some words for thought: [pseudoscience!]
+ Schrödinger's cat
+ quarks
+ clairvoyance
+ conflabulation
+ cryptomnesia
+ felicide
Don't you just love words? Let's high-five. And end this thing with an injoke; because that's never been done before.
You walk up to a single guy, and say what "Hi, Nobel Gas!"
